Beyond the preparation instructions my Doctor mailed me, I was unaware of exactly what I was in for because I stopped reading at “an electric current passes through the fine wire loop to cut away a thin layer of abnormal tissue”, which was pretty much the first paragraph. Some things a person just doesn’t need to know too much about. The grounding me to their machine was a little unsettling. As was the big smoke evacuation tube. But, all in all, it wasn’t so bad. The best part? She showed me the end-of-your-thumb-sized chunk of flesh she removed but, unfortunately, didn’t take me seriously when I asked to take a picture of it.
