At lunch time today, I was somewhat concerned to discover I wasn’t wearing my watch. I didn’t lose it, just forgot to put it on this morning. Fox/Willow/Watertown Loop: 62 minutes, 4.13 miles, 3.9 mph, HR=147. My music was 5 bmp faster and my heart rate was up 13 bmp, yet my overall speed was the same. Confirmation that today’s workout was indeed harder. Just wish I knew why.

By my calculations, 62 minutes and 4.13 miles is faster that 3.9 mph. That extra 1/10 of a mile per hour may explain the exertion level. ***
