Hanna sure struggled last night. I’m not sure if it was the heat, or increased activity. She seems OK this morning. Or, as OK as is possible for her these days.

2011-05-30 Monday
Despite the morning rain, we had pretty decent weather for our annual Memorial Day party. We were excited to have some new friends join us and happy, as always, to see some old ones. Four day old LuLu even joined us!

Early Mass. Another dreary day. For a couple of hours today, Gracie followed me absolutely everywhere I went. That is really odd for her. Tony and Traci stopped by. We splashed the powerboat!

Today has been all about chores. The never ending laundry. I washed the paddleboat. Canoe and kayaks stayed clean enough over the winter. I snagged PINK safety caps for my dock posts and boat rack! I made guacamole out of our Fruitshare avacados, spread it on lime tortilla chips, washed it down with a margarita and called it dinner.

Pilates at the Marsh followed by a walk on the trail west of there: 1:01:06, 3.65 miles, 3.6 mph. Target for party supplies. Lunch with Steve at Harvest Moon. Liquor store. The dock is in! I made Clean Eating Magazine’s “Cuban Papaya Salad” for dinner. We stopped to see the new baby.

BabyGirlH was born early this morning! I enjoyed lunch out on the patio at McCoy’s Pub with my friend, Jane. Goodbye, FitBit. Hello, again, Gruve!

The good news: My laptop is fixed. The bad news: I had to miss my piano lesson and yoga.

Early Mass, by bike! Word is there will be no early mass this summer. Gracie seems none the worse for my reducing her Rimadyl from 75 mg to 50 mg twice daily.
2011-05-21 Saturday
It’s been raining almost nonstop since yesterday morning. I’ve gotten quite a few projects done inside. A storm passed through dropping an inch of hail, some of it marble sized. Poor Gracie got caught outside in it. Once I determined she wasn’t in the house, or either of her two usual spots I can see from inside the house, I went to the garage to get my bike helmet so I could go looking for her, and there she was! Just realized the emergency radio, water filter and flashlight should be in the utility room downstairs, NOT on the shelf in the foyer closet. I’ll fix that right now.

I stopped at the Vet to get more Rimadyl for Gracie. We’re going to try cutting her down to 50 mg twice a day instead of 75.
