Ack! 14 adult and countless baby geese on the lawn when I got home. BUT! Just this morning I bought a Goose D-Fence. Paddle boat. Red wine. Goose chasing. What do you suppose happened to that third gosling? Sunset.

Avery spent the night. This morning she was all excited to go kayaking again! This time we brought her paddle. We were out for almost two hours. Every time I started to head home something caught our eye that we had to paddle over and check out. Our hope was to see baby Geese up close, but they must have been napping. Every so often I would rock the kayak so she would get used to that as it’s only a matter of time before we encounter a boat wake. She developed enough confidence to lean way over the side and splash in the water. A shower and a nap. Nicole’s birthday party! In case you’re wondering: The rubber Fox on the beach seem to be doing a pretty good job of keeping the geese off my lawn. Two families ventured onto the lawn this morning, but a few rocks took care of that and they’ve not returned.

Avery and I enjoyed breakfast with Bob and Deanna. I’m delighted that Avery liked the kayak!
