Gracie has a spot on the inside of her left rear leg that she won’t stop licking. Today she is wearing a muzzle and I’m not sure who it distresses more, me or her. Windows Mobile 6.5: I can’t get new Outlook/Exchange mail to hit my device (Verizon/Imagio). I’m using the new MyPhone software because the ability to ring, locate, lock or erase my phone remotely is critical. Uninstalling MyPhone did not fix my problem. It’s just got to be a connection setting, doesn’t it?

I’m at Tires Plus getting my summer wheels/tires swapped out for my winter ones. The mechanic reports I have only 1% left on my rear brakes. I stopped at Sears BMW to consult with them regarding my brakes. Their Mechanic confirms my brakes are worn and will need to be replaced soon. But, not just yet. There is a warning light that will tell me when I need to make an appointment to have them replaced.

Before today, I could not wrap my brain around the idea of sleeping in the back of a van. Been there, done that and it’s not bad! The first time we decided we just had to stop for a bit, we pulled off the freeway and stopped the truck at the first safe place we found and slept (kinda sorta) for most of an hour. It’s amazing how much that helped. The next time we stopped at a civilized Rest Stop and slept (kinda sorta) for about two hours. We arrived at our destination sometime around 3 pm. Unloading didn’t take long. We checked into a motel (Super8 – don’t bother). Got back in the van and headed out to Wakeman, OH where we enjoyed pizza with the Undertaker and his family at their funeral home. Yeah, you read that right.

The First Shift Foreman returned the little “Hello Kitty” notebook I gave him last week. The Guys were teasing him too much. I guess I better stop at Target and buy something more appropriate for the manufacturing environment. We departed my house about 9:00 pm in a van loaded with signs that need to be in Cleveland ASAP. I have a dream to spend the first 1-3 years of my retirement on a North American road trip. I’m taking this opportunity to make sure that dream is no nightmare. The SignSource van is not the luxurious motor home or toter vehicle I envision, but I expect the travel experience should be good.
