Woodway Treadmill @Home: 56:59, 2.5miles,HR=99. On the one hand, I’m disappointed that this is all I’m capable of. On the other hand, I’m extremely grateful, because last week, I couldn’t have even managed this.

Recumbent Stationary Bike @ Home: 46:21, 8.0 miles, HR=107. This was my first attempt at cardio since I hurt my back on October 4. I was too lazy to take the time to ice it when I was done. So far, that has not been a problem. Back on September 26, I had a life insurance health screening. Turns out, on that day, my HDL and LDL cholesterol numbers were the same – 83! That’s never happened before.

I joined the Poor Clares for 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Clare’s Monastery of the Infant Jesus. Mass was followed by discussion over muffins. Then it was off to the home of two Sisters who are School Sisters of Notre Dame. I’m not sure which I enjoyed most; the conversation, the lasagna or the cookies! Then we set out for St. Paul’s Monastery for a short prayer service followed by great conversation and S’mores around their new fire pit. The day ended at the home of two Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. There was a presentation of their work, followed by conversation over a bowl of chili. I am so grateful for this opportunity to meet these women and hear their stories. With their work, there is hope for this world!

We’ve had a bit of frost and I’ve stopped giving Daisy the Prednisone. We used a lot less this year than we did last year.

Today I’m awful proud of this, but someday I hope to laugh at it: Swimming – 1st effort.

I woke up without a voice and a bit light headed. I figured I better take it easy and spent the day between my chair and the laundry room. Every scrap of laundry is clean – the day was not wasted! Steve bought a shed for the back yard and spent the day assembling that. Soon, we should be able to get all the vehicles in the garage!
