I sat down at the piano this morning to practice until my Trainer arrived.  The new piece from last week’s lesson; “Gracie’s  Theme” by Paul Cardall.   I can’t play it without crying.

Grace.  So appropriately named.  We miss you . . . .

After Mass we went to the Marsh.  I did a BodyPump class while Steve worked out in the Training Center.  We took my boat out of the water.  I think I’m going to keep her another year.  Grace’s left rear leg has given out.  She can’t stand or walk for more than a few seconds.  Just when I stopped worrying about her and assumed she was going to be with us for a long time yet.  It seems surreal, that tomorrow . . . . . . .

Fox/Willow/Watertown/Leaf Loop w/Daisy: 1:15:39, 4.5 miles, 3.6 mph, HR=119. I think I’ve waited long enough to get a Tail Wagon so Gracie can come along sometimes.

I took Grace to the Vet for her annual checkup.  She’s lost 12 pounds!  I wish I could say the same for me.

Today is Steve’s 60^th Birthday.  Wowser.  TechnoGymWave:  39:33, 6.0 miles, HR=102.  Last night Steve made caramel/pecan rolls to share with his men’s group this morning in celebration of his birthday.  He left one on the counter for me and it was screaming at me the whole time I was exercising.

Our intent was to do the Minneapolis Bike Tour.  When I woke up at 5:30 am and checked the hourly weather forecast, the chance of rain had increased from 60 to 80%.  But, it wasn’t raining at the time.  After feeding the dogs, I stood out on the deck to assess the situation.  It was so cold and damp, I decided to go back to bed.  Daisy puked.   We celebrated Steve’s 60^th birthday with his family at son Steve’s home.
