The First Shift Foreman returned the little “Hello Kitty” notebook I gave him last week.  The Guys were teasing him too much.  I guess I better stop at Target and buy something more appropriate for the manufacturing environment.  We departed my house about 9:00 pm in a van loaded with signs that need to be in Cleveland ASAP.  I have a dream to spend the first 1-3 years of my retirement on a North American road trip.  I’m taking this opportunity to make sure that dream is no nightmare.  The SignSource van is not the luxurious motor home or toter vehicle I envision, but I expect the travel experience should be good.

My Dell Precision M4400 did not want to start up when I got to my office this morning.  No warnings.  Not sure exactly what I did to get it started.  I’ve backed up the important stuff.  It seems to be working fine.  Verizon/HTC Imagio has landed on my desk!  This new O/S (WinMo 6.5) is Microsoft’s answer to the iPhone.  We shall see.

I talked to my Dad on the phone this morning.  I need to call him more often.  I need to get past the discomfort.  Until now, talking to him on the phone has never been a good thing.  Never.  Talking isn’t the right word, it’s always meant listening to a raised and unkind voice.  I wonder how long, how many phone calls, it will take to get past that.  Sad.
