I made it to work. My only issue at this point is my lack of interest in food. Today we begin the great vegan experiment! It’s October first, CobornsDelivers where are you?!?!? I ate no animal products today, yet consumed 55 grams of protein.

I’ve managed to keep my oatmeal down, shower and remain upright this morning. But, I’m still moving kinda slow. I’m going to work from home today. I’ve mastered lunch! I think I’m good to go. Though, I must admit, I’m surprised by how much I’ve slept today.

LuceLine West Out&Back: 74 minutes, 4.73 miles 3.8 mph, HR=142. I struggled this morning. When I picked up the pace, my heart rate ramped up to 165 and I just couldn’t get it to settle down into the 140’s. I tried four times before I gave up and walked. When I got home, I had trouble in the shower. I had to get out and lay on the floor for a while. I had to sit on the stool to brush my teeth. I checked my Glucose, expecting something in the 70’s when actually it was a never before seen 145! BP: 90/61, 87/60, 97/62, 72/47, 74/47 and after lying on my bed and drinking a liter of water; 98/66. My new Dell Precision M4400 has arrived! It’s even bigger than my old Precision M70. I thought I was OK, but I wasn’t. I couldn’t even sit in my office chair, so I layed on the floor. Tony drove me home. I layed on the couch for a while and decided I would err on the side of caution and go to the hospital. They put me on the monitor, did an EKG and an ultrasound of my heart. My heart is fine. They decided to give me fluids by I.V. while we waited for my blood work. They proceeded to send me in to shock with the THREE tries it took to get the I.V. in. Then I got oxygen too! Blood draw had to wait for me to stabalize and they could get someone from the Lab with some different kind of needle. My blood chemistry was so close to my last Mayo test. There were two differences: My Platelet Count was way down and my Glucose way up. Diagnosis: Orthostatic Hypotension. Same old, same old. My take on it: I think I was compromised by some sort of stomach bug.

Avery and I went mermaid hunting. In the paddle boat!

After the gym this morning, I stopped at Sears BMW to make sure they found my car and see if there was any other information they needed. My car was already done! Since they hadn’t washed it yet, I’ll let them do that and settle up with them after work today.

We saw “The Duchess” at the Lagoon.

Bayside Out&Back: 60 minutes, 4.24 miles, 4.24 mph, HR=149. Hanna has been limping off and on since Friday. I was able to rule out any issue with her front feet, but she doesn’t limp enough to determine which front leg is bothering her. She did just fine on this morning’s jog. I met with a Realtor this afternoon to discuss the sale of my house. I shot myself in the foot with all this tile, but I knew that. What I wasn’t aware of was the biggest selling feature of my property; setback from the lake, nicely allowing for a house two or three times the size of mine. Given the state of the financial sector and real estate market, I think I’ll stay put for now. I can’t find a compelling reason to leave here at this time. I have control over this house, which is more than I could say for money in the bank. The Realtor will keep me in mind if he encounters someone wanting a great spot to build their Taj Mahal and I’m going to leave it at that for now. Microsoft Office goes through the Configuration Process each and every time I open it on my Dell Latitude D410. Something to do with Microsoft Office Groove, which I no longer use. I’ve tried to delete this software, but it errors out every time. Microsoft Office Diagnostics comes up with nothing.

I am bringing no animal products into the house, so when we needed milk, I bought soy and rice milk. When Avery asked for a glass of milk, I poured her some soy milk. She took a sip, set it down and said; “This doesn’t taste like milk, Grandma”. OK. I poured her some rice milk, to which I received the same response.
