Stubbs/Maxwell Loop: 103 minutes, 5.84 miles, 3.4 mph, HR=110. We did a shift serving corn at Corn Days, went home to clean up and change then did a shift serving spaghetti. Fun times!

I started my Christmas shopping today with a deal too good to pass up! I just made Someone’s day, by handing them a few blocks of bright colored Post-It Notes. It really is the little things.

My Trainer cancelled this morning. But, I didn’t get the text message until I was up, dressed and ready to exercise. So, Hanna and I hit the road. But, not before making a loop through the bedroom with thoughts of crawling back in bed for an hour. Good health sense prevailed! Bayside Out&Back: 75 minutes, 4.29 miles, 3.4 mph, HR=100.
2008-08-04 Monday
Fox/Willow/Watertown Loop: 64 minutes, 4.14 miles, 3.8 mph, HR=134. It was hard to get out of bed and do that, but I’m oh so glad we did! Inconvenient that I’ve inadvertently deleted my grocery list. I really must quit with the peanut butter/Hershey Bar sandwiches.

Early Mass. Dreary day. Perfect for recovery from yesterday, laundry and home office/desk tasks.
2008-08-02 Saturday
Tour de Tonka on the Tandem: 281 minutes, 67.7 miles, 14.2 mph, HR=132. We had some gear gremlins in the beginning. The Bike shop I bought the tandem bike at had the Technician Tent at the first rest stop and they fixed whatever it was needed fixing.

I’ve got a 1.5 TB storage drive attached to my network via a USB port in the Linksys WRT600N Router. Now, if I could only figure out how to access it. 10:05 pm and I now have access! From three computers (so far), no less! I love Technical Support Online Chat!
2008-07-30 Wednesday
In preparation for the Tour de Tonka, I put the roof rack on my Wagon. After much futzing, I do believe I’ve got it adjusted to accommodate the tandem bike. The Window Cleaner has washed all my windows, inside and out. This is a huge job, made even worse by all the screens.

The free puppies are all gone. I’m OK with that. I gave away the other dog bed. A puppy is a bad idea at this time. We’re registered for the 65 mile Tour de Tonka on Saturday! I would love to do this on the tandem bike, but we don’t have enough experience with it. I’m thinking 65 miles under ideal conditions would be a good way to get that experience. Could be painful. The plan is to give the tandem a try. The route goes right by the house, giving us an opportunity to swap bicycles if we think we need to.
2008-07-28 Monday
The plan was to take Hanna for a walk before I went to my office this morning. I even had my clothes laid out. I fed her at 6:00 a.m. like I always do and decided another hour of sleep was a better idea. But, we made it out this afternoon! Fox/Willow/Watertown loop: 76 minutes, 4.13 miles, 3.2 mph, HR=111. Yesterday I was offered a lab puppy for $600 which I declined because I’ve never paid money for a dog and I don’t intend to start now. Today there’s an offer of a free puppy! I seem to have puppies on the brain and the universe is doing it’s best to provide one.
