Today is a work day. Steve is mowing the lawn and I’m cutting up fruits and vegetables between loads of laundry. Later today there will be freezer organizing and banana bread baking. The condition of my freezers drives Steve nuts. Me too, but obviously not so much that I’ve done anything about it. But, today is the day! I’ve given him my blessing to do whatever his heart desires with those freezers, with one condition: One freezer must end up empty for a much needed defrosting. To that end, the bananas that filled the top shelf of one are now thawing on my kitchen island. I’m guessing there will be in excess of a dozen loaves of banana bread.

A typical Friday for Avery and I: Put gas in the car, stop at the Post Office, home, quick snack, visit the garden, play in the water, take the kayak out, visit the garden again, lunch, nap. We enjoyed Brad and Sandra’s company for dinner and a delightful evening.

OUCH! The back left part of my neck is sore. Again. I think I need a new pillow.

I must do laundry tonight! Fill a wine glass with fresh raspberries, then add white wine! I had to wear a sweatshirt for sunset on the dock. Fireworks.

Priorities in serious need of rearranging. NOW! Eye Doctor recommends, to prolong my ability to wear them until I’m really old, not wearing my contacts for three awake hours each day. My goal for now; 1 hour each day. The mCoupe is in for service today. The good news: Normal maintenance and a few minor details; new fog light bulbs, exhaust gasket, plug the nail hole in the right rear tire (thus explaining the blinking tire pressure warning light). The bad news: No MP3 input for my sound system. This really doesn’t surprise me, but a girl could dream.

Avery spent the night. The garden is weeded. We finally took my boat out! Steve made Bruschetta for dinner with fresh basil from the garden. OMG! Not only was it pretty, but tasty as well.
