The 4 am cramps in my calves are happening too often. I’m going to stop the Creatine for a week.

This morning’s workout with Kristin at TheMarsh. My friend, Katy and I went to the local premier of Death to Prom. Great movie! I really should leave a light on for myself when I go out at night.

Daisy is doing too much itching and scratching. She’s back to 3 Methylprednisolone on the even days. I hope that does it and I don’t need to go back to a daily dose. There, I did it! I bought Facebook (FB) at $41.87.

Solo at TheMarsh. The results of Daisy’s blood work on Friday are all within normal ranges! WOW! Evidence again that it’s a very, very small world! It’s not six degrees of separation, folks . . . it’s three Facebook friends. Fascinating!!! I just may have to buy some of their stock after all!

I’ve reduced Daisy’s Methylprednisolone from 3 to 2 on the even days. What great sleeping-with-the-windows-open weather! It was cool enough to take Daisy for a walk this morning. The new owners have moved into the house across the pond. They have two dogs that bark a lot. I’m having to keep a close eye on Daisy to make sure she’s not contributing to the chaos. WOWser! I got a “your yard looks great!” from the neighbor !!!!!!! Yes, yes indeed, it does.
Key Lime Pie Popsicles
Key Lime Pie Popsicles
Perfect as printed from Fany Gerson’s Paletas
Makes 10 1/3-cup or 3-ounce popsicles
Approximately 4 large regular limes or 6 to 7 key limes
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup half-and-half (or, 1/2 cup heavy cream + 1/2 cup milk)
Pinch of salt
3 cups coarsely crushed graham crackers or Maria cookies
Zest however many of the limes needed until you have 2 teaspoons total in the bottom of a medium bowl. Juice limes until you have 3/4 cup fresh lime juice. Add juice, condensed milk, half-and-half and salt to zest and whisk together until thoroughly combined. Pour into popsicle molds. Freeze for about 5 hours, or until completely frozen.
Dip in lukewarm water for 10 seconds to unmold each popsicle and press each side into crushed cookie crumbs, coating completely.
My Notes: I couldn’t find Key Limes the day I made these. I bought regular limes and added some bottled Key Lime Juice. I also added a couple of scoops of Protein Powder. I dipped mine in crushed dark chocolate instead of the graham crackers or cookies. YUM!!!

Uneventful Mass this morning. Somehow, I got going too late and missed the start of the Rosary. CrabbyNeighbor will now be referred to as NeighborBill! He called this morning. I answered my phone with much trepidation. But! He asked to borrow my yard waste cart, as his is full of acorns. And, he wanted to let me know that now the two street lights near my property don’t work. Coincidence that happened about the same time those wires finally got buried? And, last night, half-way through dinner NeighborBill’s wife, Irma came out on the deck and hollered; “everything OK over there?”. I gave her a thumbs up and she went back in the house. I’m being carefully watched, and I appreciate that.

A blast from the past has made for some intriguing possibility.

OUCH! Muscle cramp at the top of my right calf at 4:30 am. Avery and I went to see Bob today, we brought him a plant. Daisy had another acupuncture treatment this afternoon and Avery got some of it on video. Daisy has lost >4 pounds since August 20, putting her at her lowest weight yet. She doesn’t appear to have any urgent issues, but we’ll see what the results of her blood work show in a few days. The Vet approved my plan for weaning her off the Methylprednisolone. I’ll continue the twice daily Suo Quan Wan. We’ve added Derma-3 omega 3 fatty acids once a day. I’ll give her a little more chow, or clean protein.
