The Deer have discovered the garden.

I seem to have hurt my right arm playing golf(?).  It breaks my heart in a million little pieces that I won’t be doing any pushups for a while.  My Doctor had an 11:00 cancellation which I was delighted to take instead of my scheduled 3:00.  Summer birthdays celebrated. 

The weather forcast indicates intense heat for the next few days.  This morning we fired up the air conditioners.  There’s no way my Dad will tolerate my house for tomorrow’s party any other way.  Somewhat reassuring to know they work, though they were new with the remodel and there’s no reason they shouldn’t. 

The Kids’ birthday cake is made.  The lawn is mowed.  Laundry under control.

When Avery and I got back to the house, they were still cleaning, so we turned around and went to the playground.  Avery does enjoy playing with all those kids.  Cucumber sandwiches for lunch.  A bit of kayaking.  Spent some time enjoying the hammock down by the lake and said a little prayer of gratitude for this idyllic day!  We took pizza and spent the evening with Bob.

I’m finding the process of putting my name out there on the N.A.P.F.A. site, reading the emails, chatting on the phone with the intent of meeting and developing a relationship with a Personal Financial Planner not unlike the Match.com process of finding a Date.  The one who actually looked at my email address, was clever enough for that to lead him to my website (yeah, not so very clever, but these are finance people) and took the time to peruse the site and personalize his contact email with a short and witty note is first on my list to meet with.  It was his note that made me realize this could be fun!  As well it should be!

Steve reports seeing the Heron up by the garden.  Patience not being one of his virtues, Steve is frying green tomatoes.  Actually, they’re not half bad.
