They were late cleaning my house today so Avery and I decided to dawdle on our way home. We stopped at a playground I’ve been meaning to visit since last summer. Avery enjoyed playing with three boys and a girl that were all close to her age. She had such a good time we had to stop again to show Steve on our way back to Tim’s. We got home just in time for a nap. Took the canoe out when we got up.

I was too lazy to stop and buy a cucumber on my way home today, but I lucked out to find one in the refrigerator! Cucumber/CreamCheese sandwiches for dinner!! I’ve been thinking about that all afternoon and would have been more than a little disappointed to have gone without.

Buttered beets from the garden for lunch! Neighbors two houses down on either side of me; each trying to outdo the other with their fireworks display. Absolutely delightful!

“There are no little events in life, those we think of no consequence may be full of fate, and it is at our own risk if we neglect the acquaintances and opportunities that seem to be casually offered, and of small importance” Amelia Barr, author and journalist.
A perfect example being that half hour I “killed” back on 07/30/06.

Ustream.tv; so far, so good. Thanks Chris! My piano teacher is on vacation, so today I’ll go to the dentist instead. No new cavities, but there is some restoration work that needs doing. John and Diane joined us for dinner.
