In preparation for the Tour de Tonka, I put the roof rack on my Wagon.  After much futzing, I do believe I’ve got it adjusted to accommodate the tandem bike.  The Window Cleaner has washed all my windows, inside and out.  This is a huge job, made even worse by all the screens.

The free puppies are all gone.  I’m OK with that.  I gave away the other dog bed.  A puppy is a bad idea at this time.  We’re registered for the 65 mile Tour de Tonka on Saturday!  I would love to do this on the tandem bike, but we don’t have enough experience with it.  I’m thinking 65 miles under ideal conditions would be a good way to get that experience.  Could be painful.  The plan is to give the tandem a try.  The route goes right by the house, giving us an opportunity to swap bicycles if we think we need to.

The plan was to take Hanna for a walk before I went to my office this morning.  I even had my clothes laid out.  I fed her at 6:00 a.m. like I always do and decided another hour of sleep was a better idea.  But, we made it out this afternoon!  Fox/Willow/Watertown loop:  76 minutes, 4.13 miles, 3.2 mph, HR=111.  Yesterday I was offered a lab puppy for $600 which I declined because I’ve never paid money for a dog and I don’t intend to start now.  Today there’s an offer of a free puppy!  I seem to have puppies on the brain and the universe is doing it’s best to provide one.

Bikes to the Freedom Farm Polo Event in Watertown and back:  236 minutes, 40.9 miles, 10.1 mph, HR=140.  We took the Luce Line to Watertown, then road shoulders out to the Freedom Farm.  On the return we took the road shoulders to St. Boni and rode the new trail back.  The new trail goes right behind the Minnetonka Drive In.  We enjoyed a burger, onion rings and shake while watching the activity.  I read somewhere this past week that only an idiot would install a wireless “N” network in a home environment.  Well . . . . . I must respectfully disagree.  I’ve been meaning to replace my wireless router for quite some time.  Since mine hasn’t been working, I decided to tackle that tonight.  I had a Linksys WRT300N Wireless-N Broadband Router on the shelf.  It took less than a half hour to get it up and running.  The only (non)issue I have is that I can’t get the Wireless-G range expander to work.  I’m hoping I don’t need it.

The original plan was for a long bike ride.  Gloomy weather made for a change in plans.  Much laundry and projects around the house were accomplished instead.  We met some friends for dinner then headed to UpTown for the ArtCar Cruise.  I can’t even begin to explain this awesome event, go look at the photos!
