My snow tires are in! Since I actually practiced a bit this week, I wasn’t willing to miss my piano lesson in order to get them put on the car. I’ll deal with that tomorrow morning. “Our” Caribou Coffee Shop is closed. Out of business. Bummer! I enjoyed a cup of peppermint tea over a game of Scrabble at the kitchen table. I won! But, not by much.

I’ve been told it would be impossible to not have mice in a house like mine. I’m OK with that so long as they keep evidence of their presence where the BugMan, and not I, encounter it. Over the weekend I found mouse poop on the bottom of the kitchen island cabinet. Steve didn’t notice anything when he rearranged the pantry nor have I seen any other evidence elsewhere in my kitchen. I assume they are getting in to this cabinet via the holes cut in the base for the filtered water. There’s sticky traps in there now!

We checked out the Church of St.George this morning. I’ve got four ovens full of roasting pumpkins and squash. Steve spent the day on fall yard clean up. We both collapsed on the couch about 7:00 pm.

We saw “Jane Eyre” at the Guthrie. Stopped to pick up some sign lighting materials from a friend of Steve’s. Came home and grilled tenderloins and made popovers. Can you believe until tonight, Steve had never seen “Gone with the Wind”?

Avery is in WI with her other Grandmother and my pilates trainer is attending a conference in FL leaving me with a free morning. First order of business was a long overdue visit to the car wash. I took care of the few errands on my list and did a bit of Christmas shopping. I will spend the afternoon alternating between working from home, laundry and knitting. One out of three’s not bad. Right? Much progress was made on the sweater!

I have a patch of “Creeping Crud” (eczema/dermatitis) covering most of the back of my neck. This is a new location and while not too bothersome at this point, I hope it’s not a sneak preview of things to come. A nibble on the Chickering Square Grand! I ordered new snow tires this morning, now I’ve got until the middle of next week to make up my mind about which wheels I want to put them on. Tony and Terri treated us to a wonderful dinner of fish tacos at their home.

The Vet reports blood and white cells in Hanna’s urine. Now I really wish I had brought a sample to our visit last Saturday. Poor puppy, I know how she feels as it’s not been that long since I had the same problem. We’ll start her on antibiotics today. My left shoulder is so messed up I can no longer bench press even the empty bar. Bad!

Steve has started the task of clearing out the garden.
