They were still cleaning my house when we got home so we turned around and went to the play ground.  There were even more toddlers there this week than last!  Spoiled our lunch with peas from the garden, there are “wrappers” all over the yard.

I actually needed a blanket last night and I didn’t I need the fan, so I was able to hear the night sounds (loon, owl, train) I’ve been missing.  We enjoyed the Chaska Valley Family Theater’s production of “Tom Sawyer”.  You should go!  Click Here For Information.

Steve reports seeing a squirrel in the garden eating beans.

There was a rabbit by the garden fence when I closed the bedroom windows this morning.  Rent-A-Geek.  All the invoices in a batch must have the same date.  Duh!  Seems lately if my photos aren’t of Avery, they’re of food.  Any wonder I’m avoiding the scale these days? 

Yes, Mom, I made it to church.  Too hot to do anything outside (not that it’s much cooler inside since I’ve still not started the A/C) and the bathroom drains have been slow, so Steve took those apart and cleaned them.  YUK!  Afternoon thunderstorm. 

Steve is mowing.  The laundry is running.  I’ve got most of my bills paid and some serious decluttering done on my desk.  Homemade pesto with basil from our garden!  Our attempt to recreate Byerly’s Strawberry/Blueberry pie was a success, despite there being no whipped cream.

They were late cleaning my house today so Avery and I decided to dawdle on our way home.  We stopped at a playground I’ve been meaning to visit since last summer.  Avery enjoyed playing with three boys and a girl that were all close to her age.  She had such a good time we had to stop again to show Steve on our way back to Tim’s.  We got home just in time for a nap.  Took the canoe out when we got up.

I was too lazy to stop and buy a cucumber on my way home today, but I lucked out to find one in the refrigerator!  Cucumber/CreamCheese sandwiches for dinner!!  I’ve been thinking about that all afternoon and would have been more than a little disappointed to have gone without. 

Buttered beets from the garden for lunch!  Neighbors two houses down on either side of me; each trying to outdo the other with their fireworks display.  Absolutely delightful!
