Bayside Out&Back w/Hanna&Gracie: 77 minutes, 4.65 miles, 18:15/3.6, HR=106, RHR=102. I have done this. I have no desire to escape my daily life, I feel like I am on vacation every single day and for that I am grateful beyond words.

Early Mass. We enjoyed the Mermaid Theatre’s production of “The Runaway Bunny” and “Goodnight Moon” with ALL the grandchildren. This performance at the Ordway is part of the Flint Hills 2010 International Children’s Festival. We attended the Founding Member-Owner preview night at Harvest Moon Natural Foods. I’m happy to see they’ve got our brands of Cola, Dog Chow and Yogurt.

I was expecting rain today, but was pleasantly surprised by lovely weather. After a trip to Lakewinds for Cola, Avery and I stopped by the park. There were several kids at the park to play with. One of them, Darby, we had met last summer. Darby and Avery’s birthdays are just weeks apart, both celebrated their 5th birthday at a bowling alley. I gave the Nanny my phone number and hope we can connect with them again this summer. Avery made the great suggestion of an after dinner boat ride!

Since we missed them on Monday, we invited Teri & Tony over for dinner. I am grateful for friends to whom we can feed party leftovers! It was a delightful evening. Sunset on the dock, glass of wine in hand, followed by S’mores at the firepit.

I absolutely refuse to run my central air conditioners. Yet, I’ve suddenly lost my tolerance for heat when it comes to sleeping. I bought a portable air conditioner that arrived this evening. (That model is similar, but not the exact one I bought. I suspect my air conditioning brisbane is not a current model as it was discounted 50%) Perfect timing! The thing is heavy and needed to be vented outside. My bedroom windows are not compatible at all. And here is yet another example what a great team Steve and I make for solving a problem and getting a job done. You should see how we got this thing installed!
