I am blessed! There are three women I’ve been thinking about a lot lately, one of them I’ve had no contact with for years, another just under a year and the last I’ve not seen at the gym since before the holidays. I went so far as to rejoin the Knitters’ Guild as that’s where I originally met the first one. Last evening I received an email from Shelley; seems I’ve been on her mind as well. We spent hours on the phone this afternoon and will spend Wednesday evening over our knitting and coffee. While I was never really close to the second woman, she’s been on my mind too often to ignore. I have to respect that “someone” is trying to tell me something and I will call her this week. I called Terri yesterday to learn she’s fine and she’s been to the gym just not at the usual day/time. I caught her with her husband enjoying the beach in Florida and we have plans to get together when she returns.
Six Principles
Gratitude gives way to simplicity. Simplicity brings with it order. Order brings harmony. Harmony brings the inner peace we need to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us each day. Beauty opens us to Joy. From “Simple Abundance – A Daybook of Comfort and Joy” by Sarah Ban Breathnach.

Splash ! ?
Encouraged by a new Motley Fool program, today I dived back into the Stock Market.
Happy! Happy! Happy!
The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer was happy to come and pick up my dining room chairs. I’m even happier to have them gone – I never did like those blasted things! On another happy note: My Lawyer postponed this afternoon’s appointment until next week.
Knitting Group
I’ve missed belonging to a casual knitting group. In an effort towards socialization, I’ve been trying to find a group or class, but have been unable to fine one who’s location or time suits my schedule. I’ve decided to start my own using Meetup . . . . Wish me luck!
Nightmares
Avery spent the night. The first words out of her mouth upon waking; “Cottage Cheese All Gone!”. Oh, the horror! That explains her crying in her sleep. I assured her this morning, we have plenty of cottage cheese and even went so far as to show her the two cartons in my refrigerator.
Hello? Hello? Hello?
Every day my phone rings once and I miss a call from 541.617.XXXX. When I press redial, I always get a busy signal. Today I finally tried a reverse lookup of the number and find it’s assigned to BMW North America. Weird.
Victorian Secrets Primer
We’ve just returned home from the “Victorian Secrets Primer” at the Alexander Ramsey House in St. Paul; “This special 75-minute evening tour, recommended for adults-only, exposes the private side of Victorian life. Learn about some of the very human, but unmentionable problems that the Ramsey family—and others during the Victorian era—had to cope with and see the many artifacts in the house from a different perspective.” Another benefit of my membership in the Minnesota Historical Society. Very fun and informative!
