I sent Steve off to TheMarsh, rented “The Bishop’s Wife” and headed out to the exercise porch.  TechnoGym Wave:  1:47:00, 15 miles, HR=108.  I followed that with a bowl of fruit the size of my head topped with yogurt, chocolate chips and granola.  All washed down with coffee.  Showered and put on a dress for Mass at 4:00.  After that we’ll celebrate Christmas Eve at Steve’s sister, Stephanie’s home.

2011-12-18 Sunday

As has become our habit, we went to TheMarsh after mass.   I took an Ai Chi class in the therapy pool while Steve hit the Training Center.    Not surprising, this time of year, there wasn’t one Open House.  I took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent some time outside playing ball with Daisy.  I’ll spend the afternoon between laundry and decluttering.

I find myself with very little Christmas Spirit this year.  It’s not like I”m all “Bah Humbug!” about it.  There was no cookie baking.  I have little interest in Christmas decorations beyond the requisite tree.  But, I understand why.  I am emotionally distancing myself from this house as home.  I’m still enjoying the process of shopping for gifts.  I’m looking forward to my Birthday dinner and our New Years Eve party.  But, this is no longer my home.  Right now, I don’t really have a home.  It’s awkward.  I find peace of mind in having two or three potential homes in mind.  So, I am putting some time and effort in to that.

2011-12-08 Thursday

A Potential Buyer has requested to see my property for the third time today. I don’t like having Daisy at home when that happens. She couldn’t come to work with me because our Accountant was at my office today, so she spent the day at Augusta Day Care. I think she liked it! I never figured to see the day I took my Dog to Day Care.
But, at this point in my life, Doggie Day Care makes way more sense than having a second dog.  We enjoyed The Marsh’s holiday party with Terry and Tony.

2011-11-28 Monday

TechnoGym Wave:  55:02, 8.09 miles, HR=118.  My body is adapting to the TechnoGym Wave and I’m beginning to see a decline in average heart rate.  Daisy spent the morning in Doggy Day Care at Pampered Pooch Playground.  She did just fine!  While Pampered Pooch Playground is a really nice place, I still prefer Top Dog Country Club for boarding.  That being the case, it’s hard to justify driving to St. Louis Park for Day Care when Augusta is right in Wayzata.  Given today’s positive experience, I think Daisy can handle going to two different places.  I have to admit; I’m not sure who suffers more from separation anxiety, Daisy or me.  It was disturbingly quiet at home without her.
