Daisy went on her first road trip.  We drove up to Walker to visit my Dad for his birthday.  I put Daisy’s crate in the back of the Golf and she actually crawled in there a few times!  The drive up was uneventful and once we got to Walker, we took Daisy to the fenced in ball fields and let her run around a bit.  She was so good at the Nursing home!!  I was worried she would jump on people or be too scared to have in there.  But, she was very gentle, laying her head on their bed or knee to be petted.  A wonderful dinner at Chase on the Lake.

I attended “Dollars and Cents:  Forging a Fair Valuation of the Family Firm” at the College of St.Thomas.  Stopped at Westside VW for the 10,000 mile service on my Golf TDI.  Met Steve for lunch at Harvest Moon.  Too windy to go for a walk, so called it my rest day.

Old Crystal Bay Road Out&Back: 1:09:12, 4.3 miles, 3.7 mph, HR=107.

Fox/Willow/Watertown/Leaf Loop:  1:11:33, 4.56 miles, 3.4 mph, HR=121.  I didn’t put Daisy in the car, I just kept reminding her to “Heel” as we crossed the Invisible Fence line. Today has been all about chores. For me, laundry and decluttering. Steve’s working on the yard.

I sat down at the piano this morning to practice until my Trainer arrived.  The new piece from last week’s lesson; “Gracie’s  Theme” by Paul Cardall.   I can’t play it without crying.

Grace.  So appropriately named.  We miss you . . . .
