Avery is in WI with her other Grandmother and my pilates trainer is attending a conference in FL leaving me with a free morning.  First order of business was a long overdue visit to the car wash.  I took care of the few errands on my list and did a bit of Christmas shopping.  I will spend the afternoon alternating between working from home, laundry and knitting.  One out of three’s not bad.  Right?  Much progress was made on the sweater!

I have a patch of “Creeping Crud” (eczema/dermatitis) covering most of the back of my neck.  This is a new location and while not too bothersome at this point, I hope it’s not a sneak preview of things to come.  A nibble on the Chickering Square Grand!  I ordered new snow tires this morning, now I’ve got until the middle of next week to make up my mind about which wheels I want to put them on.  Tony and Terri treated us to a wonderful dinner of fish tacos at their home.

The Vet reports blood and white cells in Hanna’s urine.  Now I really wish I had brought a sample to our visit last Saturday.  Poor puppy, I know how she feels as it’s not been that long since I had the same problem.  We’ll start her on antibiotics today.  My left shoulder is so messed up I can no longer bench press even the empty bar.  Bad!

2007-10-25 Thursday

Weird.  All my Outlook Notes have disappeared.  This evening they’ve reappeared.  Go figure.  Hanna is still not eating her chow.  She does, however, enjoy her special homemade food.  So at least she’s eating.  She doesn’t wolf down cookies like she used to either.  I’m wondering if her ear infection isn’t making her teeth/jaw sore.  But, if her ear infection was that bad, wouldn’t they have put her on oral antibiotics instead of just ear salve?  Hanna is a bit perkier today than she was yesterday.  For months Steve has been threatening to reorganize my pantry.  Tonight he’s making good on that threat!  Do you have any idea how many times I’ve heard; “Do you know how many of (insert name of pantry staple item here) you have?!?!?!” Well, now I do.  Or, rather, he does.

Samsung SCH-i760

WM6 has been out for over a year and I’m only just now using it!  I got tired of waiting for the XV6800 and read many rave reviews of the Samsung SCH-i760.  I do not like all the proprietary cables.  I do like the number pad on the outside/face of the phone.  I’ve not had any software compatibility issues.

2007-10-24 Wednesday

Hanna is most certainly not herself.  But, she’s trying.  I’ve got the camera set up in the dog room so I can keep an eye on her from my office this morning.  I’ll work from home this afternoon.  Hanna has perked up a lot today.  I remain concerned that she’s not eating her usual chow.  Since she’s been home, she’s only consumed the sample packet of soft food that Three Dog Bakery sent with this month’s treats.  I tried putting beef broth on her chow, but that didn’t work.  I’ll make a big batch of ground beef/rice/veggies tonight and hope I can get her back to her usual chow by the weekend.  She’s got an appointment with her usual Veterinarian on Saturday.
